Lodgepole PineLodgepole Pine is By far the most common tree in Yellowstone. Back When Indians were still around Indian tribes would use this tree to make the frames for their tipis. The male cones produce huge qualities of yellow pollen. Females cone take two years to mature and produce seeds. The seeds are eaten by squerals and chipmunks. The needles are eaten by blue grouse and spruce grouse.This tree produces shelter for deer,elk, and moose. It is native to the Rocky Mountains. they grow in high elevations. They grow best in the sun.

Yellow Monkey FlowerThis plant is bright yellow. It also grows in different colors but the well known one is the Yellow Monkey Flower. It best grows in March and April. The Yellow Monkey Flower is best common in wet places. Also in open areas high to low elevations. Its located in the western half of north America. Many deer eat this plant.
